    Selection Process For CISF Constable / Driver

    Height Bar Test (HBT):

    All candidates will be called for PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test at various centers. Candidates will undergo the Height Bar Test (HBT).

    Those who pass the Height Bar Test (HBT) will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by PST.

    Physical Efficiency Test:

    Candidates qualifying the HBT and PST will undergo the following Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which is qualifying in nature:

    PET Events Parameters
    800 Mtrs Run In 3 minutes 15 seconds
    Long Jump 11 feet (03 chances)
    High Jump 3 feet 6 inches (03 chances)

    Each event of the PET must be qualified;

    Physical Standard Test (PST):

    After qualifying the HBT, candidates will be screened for height, chest, and weight.

    Appeals for height and chest standards can be made on the same day to an Appellate Authority, whose decision is final.

    Documentation:

    Candidates qualifying in HBT & PET/PST need to present the following original documents for scrutiny; failure to do so results in elimination:

    • Educational Certificates.
    • Date of birth certificate (Matriculation or 10th pass certificate).
    • Valid HMV/Transport, LMV, and Motorcycle with gear Driving License.
    • SC/ST, OBC, and EWS Certificates
    • Candidates from certain regions requesting relaxation in height and chest should produce certificates in proforma/format given in Appendix – D.
    • Departmental candidates need to submit a certificate from their employer
    • Discharge Certificate/Certificate and Undertaking for serving Defence Personnel
    • Ex-Servicemen quota certificate as per
    • Undertaking for Ex-Servicemen
    • Four passport size recent photographs of the candidates with the date printed on them (not more than three months old from notification).
    • One set of self-attested photocopies of educational, age proof, caste, driving License, and Domicile/PRC documents.
    • Certificate from District Collector/District Magistrate for children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots & 2002 Gujarat communal riots.
    • Photo bearing identification proof like Driving License, Voter Card, AADHAR Card, University/College Identity Card, or Income Tax PAN Card.
    • Identification of candidates will be checked using the Admit Card and Identity Cards. Biometric credentials will be registered before PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test.

    Trade Test:

    Candidates who pass the PET, PST, and Documentation are subject to the following tests, with minimum qualifying marks required for each:

    Note: Trade Test marks do not affect merit; they are only qualifying in nature.

    Written Examination (OMR/CBT):

    Qualified candidates from PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test are called for a Written Examination under OMR/Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode.

    The exam structure is as follows:

    All questions are objective multiple-choice. The exam will be in English and Hindi, no negative marking.

    Minimum qualifying marks for Medical Examination (DME/RME):

    • UR/EWS/Ex. Servicemen: 35%
    • SC/ST/OBC: 33%

    Note: Qualifying marks do not guarantee progression; it's based on performance and cut-off marks.

    Tentative Answer Keys will be available online for candidates to submit representations if necessary, at a cost.

    Questions will be of 10th standard level.

    If exams are conducted in multiple shifts, marks will be normalized for merit determination.

    Candidate identity will be verified using biometric credentials from previous stages.

    Important Instructions for Recruitment of CISF Constable / Driver
    • In case the date of issue of License in different category is same or not mentioned in License, such candidates are required to produce a certificate from the concerned Regional Transport Office (RTO) validating the License and specifying the date of issue for each category.
    • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are not eligible to apply for this Recruitment.
    • Candidates must write their names, date of birth, father’s name, and mother’s name strictly as given in the matriculation certificate, otherwise their candidature may be cancelled at the time of document verification or anytime it comes to notice.
    • An application will be summarily rejected at any stage of the recruitment process if it contains incomplete information, wrong information, incomplete requisite certificates, misrepresentation of facts, is left unsigned, or submitted without fee where due.
    • In case of fake/fabricated application/registration by misusing any dignitaries name/photo, such candidate/cyber café will be held responsible and liable for suitable legal action under cyber/IT Act.
    • If any candidate is found under the influence of any energetic medicine/drugs etc. during PET, his candidature will be cancelled forthwith.

    • The Department has the right to make any change in the advertisement or cancel it without assigning any reasons. Further, all conditions mentioned herein may vary as per orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.
    • Candidates should come prepared for 2-3 days stay under their own arrangements for recruitment. No TA/DA will be admissible for the journey and stay.
    • Candidates should note that they are applying for a combat force and should participate in the recruitment process with due physical/mental preparation; they will be fully responsible for any incident/accident occurring during any stage of recruitment. The Recruiting Agency/Centre will not be responsible for such incidents/accidents. Candidates participate at their own risk.
    • Candidates are advised to have sufficient practice for the race/PET before coming for recruitment. They should also get themselves medically examined to ensure they can run the specified distance in the given time. CISF or the Government of India will not be responsible for any injury/mishap or medical problem during the recruitment process.
    • Canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence will automatically disqualify the candidate from the recruitment process without notice.
    • The decision of the Department in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examinations, and allotment of examination centers, mode/procedure for trade test, medical examination etc., will be final and binding on candidates and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained.
    • If a candidate is found unfit/ineligible for service on any ground after selection/appointment, their service will be terminated without assigning any reason.
    • If any candidate is found to indulge at any stage in any act of malpractices during the entire recruitment process or thereafter, their candidature will be cancelled, and they will be liable for suitable legal action.
    • The Director General, CISF reserves the right to make changes or cancel or postpone the recruitment without assigning any reason.
    • In the event of any dispute regarding the instructions outlined in this Notice, the English version shall prevail.
    • Success in various stages of recruitment confers no right to appointment unless the Department is satisfied after Detailed Medical Examination and such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service/post.
    • Selected candidates are required to undergo basic training in CISF RTCs for which they will be informed separately through an Offer of Appointment letter. They will be on probation for a period of two years, which can be extended. During probation, if found unfit for any reason, their services are liable to be terminated.
