Playing positions and weight categories for each discipline are listed in the official notification. No post is reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS; selection is on overall merit in each discipline.

Eligibility

Level-4 / Level-5: a university degree or equivalent from a recognised university.
Level-2 / Level-3: Class 12th (10+2) or equivalent, or Matriculation plus ITI / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NCVT), as applicable to the post offered.
Level-1: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or NAC.
Sports norms: the achievement prescribed for your level (Olympics / World / Asian / Commonwealth events for Level-4/5; international, national championship, National Games, inter-university or Federation Cup positions for Level-2/3; state-level and other norms for Level-1). Only achievements earned on or after 01.04.2024 count.
No relaxation in the minimum educational qualification. Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.

Age Limit

Age limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2027 (born not earlier than 02.01.2002 and not later than 01.01.2009).
No age relaxation (upper or lower) for any category.

Salary

7th CPC Pay Matrix: Level-4/5 (6th CPC GP ₹2400/2800), Level-2/3 (GP ₹1900/2000) and Level-1 (GP ₹1800), in PB-1 ₹5,200–20,200 (6th CPC). In the 7th CPC matrix, these levels start at Level-1 ₹18,000, Level-2 ₹19,900, Level-3 ₹21,700, Level-4 ₹25,500 and Level-5 ₹29,200 basic pay, plus DA and railway allowances (standard 7th CPC figures, not printed in this notification).

Exam Pattern

Marks: sports achievement as per norms 50, game skill / fitness / coach's observation in the trial 40 (minimum 25 to qualify), educational qualification 10. Total 100.
Minimum qualifying marks: 70 (Level-4/5), 65 (Level-2/3), 60 (Level-1).
Ties are decided in favour of the younger candidate.

Upload your photo, signature, Matriculation / birth certificate, qualification and sports certificates in the prescribed format.
Pay ₹500 (UR/OBC) or ₹250 (others) online and give bank details for the refund.
Submit by 30/11/2026 (23:59 hrs) and watch rrcser.co.in for trial dates.
