JKSSB Junior Engineer (Civil) Recruitment 2026: 458 Posts in Jal Shakti & PWD (R&B) – Advt 11 of 2026, Apply Online 30 November to 29 December
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued Advertisement Notification No. 11 of 2026 dated 27.10.2026 for 458 Junior Engineer (Civil) posts (UT cadre): 282 in the Jal Shakti Department and 176 in the Public Works (R&B) Department. Online applications run from 30.11.2026 to 29.12.2026 on jkssb.nic.in. Only J&K domiciles can apply.

All posts are UT cadre, Junior Engineer (Civil), Level-6. JKSSB says the number of posts may go up or down and the advertisement is subject to pending court cases. Horizontal reservation for ex-servicemen and PwBD applies as per rules. Category figures are as printed in Annexure-A.

Eligibility
- Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Government-recognised institute, or a university degree in Civil Engineering, or AMIE Sections (A & B), India.
- Domicile: you must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir with a valid domicile certificate issued on or before 29.12.2026.
- Qualification and category certificates must be valid on or before the cut-off date (29.12.2026). Category certificates must be uploaded with the online form.
- In-service candidates must send the printed form through proper channel before document verification.
Age Limit
- Maximum age as on 01.01.2026: Open Merit 40 years; SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS and OBC 43 years; physically challenged 42 years.
- Candidates must not be born after 01.01.2008 (minimum age 18).
- Ex-servicemen may deduct their service period; eligible if the resulting age is not more than 3 years above the limit.

Salary
Pay Level-6: ₹35,400–1,12,400 (as printed in Annexure-A), plus allowances admissible under J&K Government rules.
Exam Pattern
- Objective-type multiple-choice written / OMR examination. Questions in English only.
- Negative marking: one-fourth of the marks for each wrong answer.
- Syllabus will be notified separately on jkssb.nic.in. Exam date and centres will be announced later.
- Admit cards are put on jkssb.nic.in about a week before the exam; they are not sent by post.
