Family means spouse, brother, sister and parents only. Casual worker includes daily rated, hospital development fund, local fund, ad hoc, contractual and consolidated workers, with wage proof for five years countersigned by the district or divisional head.
Syllabus
The syllabus will be notified separately on www.jkssb.nic.in. It is not printed in Advertisement No. 09 of 2026. Do not rely on a third-party syllabus until the Board uploads one.
Selection Method
Written test plus the additional points above, then document verification. Preferences for cadre and department are taken in the form or later, as the Board decides. Appointment is merit-cum-preference. If you do not give a preference, the Board may allot what remains. Candidature stays provisional until certificates are found genuine. Horizontal reservation for ex-servicemen and persons with benchmark disabilities follows the rules cited in the advertisement.
Exam Centres
Date and venue will be notified on www.jkssb.nic.in. No request to change centre is entertained. Reach the centre at least one hour early. No TA/DA for the written test or document verification.
