Education: Intermediate (12th) or equivalent in any subject from an Intermediate Council or Board recognised by the State or Central Government, by the last date of application.
Desirable: Hindi and English typing at 30 words per minute each.

Maximum: 37 years – unreserved men; 40 years – unreserved women and BC/EBC (men and women); 42 years – SC/ST (men and women).

Exam Pattern

Preliminary exam (OMR, objective): 100 questions, 400 marks (4 marks each), 2 hours, 1 mark deducted per wrong answer; Hindi/English medium; matric-level questions.
Subjects: General Studies 50 questions, General Science & Mathematics 20, Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning 30.
Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (UR), 36.5% (BC), 34% (EBC), 32% (SC/ST/women).
Typing test: Hindi and English, 10 minutes each, for candidates who pass the prelim (30 wpm desirable).
