District-wise Constable (Civil) and battalion-wise Constable OISF vacancies are in Annexure-A and Annexure-B of the advertisement. Special reservations include ESM, sportspersons and EAV, plus 10% for Group-D police employees (Constable Civil) and Home Guards (Firefighter, Firefighting Driver, Driver PMT).

Eligibility
- Constable (Civil), Firefighter, Firefighting Driver, Traffic Constable: Higher Secondary (+2) from CHSE Odisha or an equivalent board.
- Constable (Communication): +2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Electronics/Statistics/Computer Science/IT, or a 3-year Engineering Diploma (SCTE&VT Odisha / AICTE).
- Constable OISF and Driver PMT: High School Certificate (Matriculation / Class 10th).
- Driving licence where the post needs it; Odia language knowledge as per the advertisement; physical measurement, PET and medical standards as per sections 16–19.
Age Limit
As on 01.01.2026: Constable (Civil) 18–26; Constable (Communication), Constable OISF and Driver PMT 18–23; Firefighter and Firefighting Driver 18–25; Traffic Constable 21–32 years. Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC and women, and by 3 years for Ex-Agniveers; ex-servicemen get relaxation for service rendered. Only one relaxation applies.

Salary
Pay matrix under ORSP Rules 2017: Level-5 for Constable (Civil), Constable (Communication), Constable OISF and Driver PMT; Level-4 for Firefighter, Firefighting Driver and Traffic Constable.
Selection Process
- Written examination (CBT/OMR as decided by OUSSSC)
- Physical Measurement (PM) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – qualifying
- Driving test for driver posts
- Medical examination and document/certificate verification
