Teaching Govt Jobs 2026 – B.Ed, D.El.Ed & TET

Teaching Govt Jobs: FAQ

Which qualification is needed for a government teacher job?

It depends on the level. Primary (PRT) posts usually need 12th with D.El.Ed (or B.El.Ed) and a pass in CTET or the state TET. TGT posts usually need graduation with B.Ed and the TET. PGT posts usually need a postgraduate degree with B.Ed. Each notification gives the exact rule.

Is TET compulsory for teacher jobs?

For school-teacher posts that follow NCTE norms, a TET pass (CTET or the state TET) is generally required. Check the notification, because some posts, such as PGT in many states, do not ask for it.

Who recruits government teachers?

KVS and NVS for central schools, DSSSB for Delhi, and state bodies such as BPSC (TRE), UP ESSC, RPSC, MPESB, JSSC, OAVS and state DSC/district panels.

How do I know if a teacher job is still open?

Open jobs are listed first with a green Open label and their last date. Jobs whose last date has passed move to the closed list.
