The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has issued Advertisement No. 06/2026 dated 9 September 2026 for the Common Recruitment Examination for Group-A & Group-B, Gazetted (Technical) Posts-2026 (Part-II). There are 37 posts: Finance & Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer (7), Sub Treasury Officer (7), Assistant Director (Prosecution) (5) and Assistant Public Prosecutor (18). Eligibility
- FAO / Treasury Officer: Bachelor degree in Commerce / Business Administration / Economics, or any discipline with Statistics or Mathematics studied in all semesters/years.
- Sub Treasury Officer: B.Com / BBA, or any discipline with Statistics or Economics studied in all semesters/years.
- Assistant Director (Prosecution): LLB with at least 7 years' active practice as an advocate in criminal courts, or experience as a First Class Magistrate.
- Assistant Public Prosecutor: LLB with at least 7 years' experience in criminal law practice.
- Final-semester candidates may apply for FAO/TO and STO but must prove passing by the interview date.
- Mandatory: Indian citizen with a valid Permanent Residence Certificate of Arunachal Pradesh, an APST certificate, and ability to speak an indigenous tribal language of Arunachal Pradesh (Govt notification dated 26 August 2026).
Age Limit (as on 12 October 2026)
Minimum 21, maximum 35 years. Relaxation: APST up to 5 years; APST PwBD up to 15 years; regular State Government employees as per rules. Date of birth only from the Matriculation certificate.

To be called for interview: 33% aggregate and at least 20% in each paper (PwBD: 20% aggregate, 10% per paper). About 3 times the vacancies are called. If applications are many, an objective Recruitment Test of 200 marks is held first (FAO/TO and STO: Commercial Mathematics and General Awareness & Current Affairs; Asst Director/APP: concerned subject). It is screening only; about 12 times the posts go to the written exam.
Syllabus
FAO/TO and STO choose one subject for Papers I and II: Commerce, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics. Assistant Director (Prosecution) and APP: Paper-I Core Criminal Laws; Paper-II Constitutional Law and Other Special Legislations. Detailed syllabi are on appsc.gov.in.
Selection Method
Recruitment Test (only if needed) → Written Examination → Viva-voce. Original documents are verified on or before the interview. Medical test and character verification are done by the appointing department.
Exam Centres
The written examination and any recruitment test are held in the Itanagar Capital Region.

- Log in and fill the Advt 06/2026 form. Submit only one application; only the highest RID is accepted.
- Upload photo (40–100 KB), signature (40–50 KB), photo ID, APST, PRC, degree and all semester mark sheets, Matriculation certificate, and the 7-year experience certificate for Asst Director/APP.
- Pay ₹200 online (PwD exempt) and submit before 5:00 PM on 12 October 2026.
