KEA FDA SDA Recruitment 2026: 5,431 First Division & Second Division Assistant and Other Posts (RPC + Kalyana Karnataka) – Apply Online 30 October to 25 November
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued four notifications dated 29.10.2026 for 5,431 Group-C posts in Karnataka Government departments, boards and corporations. They cover degree-level posts such as First Division Assistant (FDA), Accounts Assistant, Co-operative Auditor and Hostel Warden, and PUC-level posts such as Second Division Assistant (SDA), in both the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) and the Kalyana-Karnataka (KK) cadre. Online applications run from 30.10.2026 to 25.11.2026; the fee can be paid till 26.11.2026.

Each notification lists the department, post and pay scale separately. Most degree-level posts (FDA and similar) are on the ₹44,425–83,700 scale; a few are on ₹49,050–92,500 or ₹54,175–99,400. Most PUC-level posts (SDA and similar) are on ₹34,100–67,600. Figures are as printed in the four official notifications.

Eligibility
- Degree-level posts (FDA etc.): a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Some posts need B.Com / BBM / BBA, a degree with Economics / Statistics / Mathematics / Computer Science, a computer degree (BE CS/IS/IT, BCA, MCA, B.Sc CS) or B.Ed, as listed post-wise in the notification.
- PUC-level posts (SDA etc.): 2nd PUC / 12th pass or equivalent. Some posts need PUC in Commerce with Accountancy.
- Kalyana-Karnataka cadre: only candidates eligible under the Article 371(J) local-cadre rules may apply against KK local posts.
- Candidates must know Kannada. Those who have not passed Kannada as first or second language in SSLC (or higher) must pass the KEA Kannada language test (150 marks, minimum 50).
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years on the last date of application.
- Maximum age (includes the one-time 5-year relaxation under Government Order dated 29.01.2026): General Merit 40 years; 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B 43 years; SC / ST / Category-1 45 years.
- Further relaxation for Karnataka Government employees, ex-servicemen and NCC instructors as per the notification.

Salary
Post-wise Karnataka Government pay scales: ₹44,425–83,700 for most degree-level posts and ₹34,100–67,600 for most PUC-level posts, plus DA, HRA and other allowances.
Exam Pattern
- Offline OMR competitive examination with Paper-1 and Paper-2 (2 hours each).
- Follow the OMR and question-paper instructions issued by KEA on the admit card.
- Separate Kannada language test on 08.01.2027 (150 marks; 50 needed to pass) for candidates not exempted.
- Exam centres and admit cards will be published on the KEA website.
