Open-category break-up stated in the short notice: Advt 48 UR 1; Advt 49 SEBC 2 and ST 1; Advt 50 UR 3 and SEBC 1; Advt 51 UR 1; Advt 52 UR 4, EWS 1, SEBC 1 and ST 1. The other nine posts are PwBD special-drive vacancies. Numbers can change with departmental requisitions.

Eligibility (summary)

Qualifications and experience are post-specific. The short notice summarises them as follows; the detailed advertisement controls licence, subject and institute conditions:

• Marine Engineer / Junior Grade Marine Engineer (42, 48): BE/BTech Mechanical or Marine, 5 years.
• Engineer Surveyor (43): BE/BTech Mechanical or Marine, 8 years.
• Port Officer group (44, 49): as prescribed, 8 years. Pilot Officer (50): 6 years. Naval Architect (51): 7 years.
• Assistant Port Officer (45, 52) and Traffic Officer (46): 2 years. Safety Officer (47): 3 years.
• Manager Grade 1 (53): diploma or degree in Hotel Management, 2 years. Junior Architect (55): diploma or BE Architecture, 3 years.
• Assistant Director FS (54): bachelor’s or postgraduate as specified, 5 years. Joint Director of Horticulture (56): relevant PG (8 years) or PhD pathway (5 years) as specified.

Pay is the Gujarat Government Class 1 or Class 2 scale printed in each detailed advertisement. Age is calculated as on 8 October 2026; post-wise limits are in the detailed ads. Only the SSCE certificate is accepted as date-of-birth proof. Submit only one application per advertisement; GPSC considers the last confirmed application.

Exam Pattern

Selection follows the recruitment rules of each post and may include a preliminary examination, a subject paper, interview and document verification. The General Studies preliminary test is tentatively on 13 December 2026.
