MP Police Constable Driver Recruitment 2026: 1,000 Aarakshak (Chalak) Posts – MPESB Online Form
The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has published the rulebook for the Aarakshak (Chalak) / Constable Driver Direct Recruitment Exam 2026 under Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department, Madhya Pradesh. There are 1,000 posts – 200 in the Special Armed Force and 800 in the District Police Force – open to male candidates only. Online forms run from 15 October to 29 October 2026 and the written exam is expected to start on 04 January 2027.

* 13% notional (UR) and 13% provisional (OBC) posts as per the MP 87:13 formula. Non-domicile candidates can apply only against unreserved open posts. Posts are for male candidates only.
Educational Qualification
- UR / SC / OBC: 10th class pass under the 10+2 system from a recognised board, or equivalent.
- ST: 8th class pass or equivalent.
- A valid heavy vehicle driving licence is mandatory. A separate qualifying practical trade test (driving) must be passed.
- All certificates must be held by 29/10/2026.
Age Limit (as on 29 October 2026)
- Minimum 18 years.
- Maximum 33 years – MP unreserved, MP EWS and candidates from other states.
- Maximum 38 years – MP SC/ST/OBC, government/corporation employees and home guards, inter-caste marriage awardees (MP).
- Vikram Award winners: 38 (UR) / 43 (reserved). Ex-servicemen relaxation as per rules.

Chest expansion must be at least 5 cm. Physical efficiency test marks are given in the rulebook schedule; candidates must score at least 20% in the 800-metre run and at least 30% of the total PET marks. No relaxation in physical standards.
Salary
Pay scale ₹19,500–62,000. As per the MP GAD circular of 12.12.2019, a stipend of 70%, 80% and 90% of the minimum pay is paid in the first, second and third year respectively, plus allowances. New Contributory Pension Scheme applies.

Selection Process
- Stage 1: Online written exam (100 MCQs, 100 marks).
- Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test and document verification for about seven times the vacancies (category-wise), plus a qualifying trade (driving) test.
- Final merit on written exam percentile; PET and trade test are qualifying as per the rulebook.
- Medical examination by the District Medical Board.

- Complete the MPESB profile registration if not already done.
- Fill in details, choose cadre preference (Special Armed Force / District Force) and district unit priority.
