MPESB Group 3 Sub Engineer Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 1,700 Posts
Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal has reopened online applications for the Group-3 Combined Recruitment Examination 2026 (Second) for 1,700 posts of Sub Engineer (Upyantri), Draftsman/Cartographer, Laboratory Technician and equivalent Group 3 posts. The reopen window is 13 October 2026 to 27 October 2026. The CBT is planned from December 2026 / January 2027.

Short Summary: MPESB Group 3 (Second) 2026: 1,700 posts (UR 628, EWS 146, SC 246, ST 254, OBC 426). Re-apply online from 13 to 27 October 2026 on esb.mp.gov.in or MP Online. Fee ₹500 or ₹250 plus portal charges. Age 18–40 as on 1 January 2026 (up to 45 for eligible MP categories). One CBT of 200 marks with 0.25 negative marking. Pay Level 4 to Level 8.

Eligibility
Most posts need a three-year diploma or a degree in the branch named for that post code: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication, Fashion Technology, Architecture, Modern Office Management, Hotel Management, Agriculture Engineering, Textile Design, Automobile, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mining/Civil, or ITI Craftsman (Civil) where specified. Check first-class and branch conditions for your post code in the PDF.
You must be an Indian citizen (Nepalese citizens only with the certificate required under the MP Civil Services Recruitment Rules, 1961) and hold a live registration at a Madhya Pradesh employment office. Non-domicile candidates may apply only against unreserved vacancies and do not get reservation or age relaxation.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)
Open competition: 18 to 40 years. MP-domiciled SC/ST/OBC, government/corporation/board employees, Home Guards, PwBD and women: 18 to 45 years. EWS candidates do not get age relaxation. After all relaxations the maximum is 45 years, except contractual employees and categories named in Rule 14 of the notification.
Pay
Pay Matrix Level 4 (₹19,500–62,000) to Level 8 (₹32,800–1,03,600). Sub Engineer posts are typically Level 8. During probation, MP GAD orders provide a stipend of 70%, 80% and 90% of the minimum in years 1–3. The table illustrates Level 8 minimum with DA at 55% (official DA orders prevail).

Selection Method
Selection is on the single CBT. Reach the centre by the reporting window on the admit card: about 7:00–8:00 AM for shift 1 and 12:30–1:30 PM for shift 2. Late entry is not allowed.
