Chhattisgarh Karmachari Chayan Mandal (CGSSB), formerly CG Vyapam, is conducting the written recruitment exam LSL26 for 854 Lecturer (Vyakhyata) posts in government schools for the Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh. Eligibility
Second-class postgraduate (or equivalent) degree in the accepted subject group plus B.Ed. Qualifications follow NCTE notifications and court orders in force. The certificate must be obtained on or before the CGSSB last date.
- Hindi, English, Geography: the same subject.
- Sanskrit: Sanskrit / Classics / Acharya.
- Physics: Physics / Electronics / Applied Physics / Nuclear Physics.
- Political Science: Political Science / Public Administration.
- History: History / Ancient Indian History.
- Economics: Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics.
A Chhattisgarh local resident certificate is compulsory. Only one subject may be chosen. Serving candidates need an NOC. Medical fitness and police verification apply after selection. Appointments are on probation for three years, extendable by one year.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)
Minimum 21 years completed and not completed 35 years. Upper-age relaxation: Chhattisgarh SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) up to 5 years; women up to 10 years under the 1997 special provisions; PwD as per GAD instructions. Several in-service categories are capped at 38 years. After all relaxations, age for entry should not exceed 45 years.
Pay
Gazetted Class II, Pay Matrix Level-09, plus dearness allowance and other allowances ordered by the Chhattisgarh government. The table uses the usual Level-09 entry basic of ₹53,100 with DA at 55% for illustration only; confirm the cell in the state pay matrix.

Syllabus
The syllabus is published on the CGSSB website under the Syllabus link for LSL26. Read it before the exam on 29 November 2026 (tentative).
Selection Method
Selection list is based only on the CGSSB written exam. No interview is mentioned. The list is valid for six months. A waiting list of up to 25% of vacancies (minimum one name) per category is valid for nine months. Document verification and appointment are done by the department on eduportal.cg.nic.in, not by CGSSB. Appointments are subject to the Supreme Court order in SLP (C) No. 019668/2022.
Exam Centres
Five divisional headquarters: Surguja (Ambikapur, code 11), Bilaspur (13), Durg (16), Jagdalpur/Bastar (17) and Raipur (25). Coordinator colleges are named in the advertisement.

- Choose one subject and one cadre path as allowed, pay the fee online, and submit by 26 October 2026, 5:00 PM.
