Online applications open from 16 February 2026 to 08 March 2026 at rbi.org.in. Preliminary Exam (tentative) April 11, 2026 | Main Exam June 07, 2026. Selection through Prelims + Mains + Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Phase 1: Online Preliminary Examination (Qualifying in nature)
• Objective MCQ test – 100 marks, 60 minutes
• Sections: English (30Q/30M), Numerical Ability (35Q/35M), Reasoning (35Q/35M)
• Sectional & overall cut-off decided by RBI
• Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted for every wrong answer
• Approx. 10× vacancies candidates shortlisted for Mains (category-wise & office-wise)
