The DSSSB Assistant Teacher (Primary) Recruitment 2025 is a recruitment drive by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) to fill 1455 vacancies for Assistant Teacher (Primary) posts under Post Code 802/25 for the Directorate of Education (DOE: 1390 vacancies) and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC: 65 vacancies). • Directorate of Education (DOE):
  • Essential Qualifications (Any one):
    • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized Board.
    • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations – 2002.
    • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
    • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognized Board.
    • Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized Board.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
    • Must have passed Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or English as a subject at Secondary level.
• New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC):
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • 12th pass with 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST) from a recognized board.
    • 2-year Diploma in Primary Education/Certificate Course in ETE/JBT/DIET/B.El.Ed. from a recognized institution.
  • Additional Requirement:
    • Must have passed Hindi as a subject in 10th class.
• Age Limit (as on 16/10/2025): Relaxations:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years

  • Departmental Candidates (Group B): Up to 5 years

The DSSSB Assistant Teacher (Primary) Recruitment 2025 Selection Process includes:

• One Tier Examination (Technical/Teaching): Computer Based Test (CBT) with 200 MCQs, 2 hours. Section-A: 100 MCQs (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, English, Hindi – 20 marks each). Section-B: 100 MCQs (NCTE curriculum, teaching methodology). 1 mark per correct answer, 0.25 mark negative marking per wrong answer. Qualifying marks for Section-B: General/EWS – 40%, OBC – 35%, SC/ST/PwBD – 30%.
• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates based on CBT merit undergo e-dossier verification by the user department (DOE/NDMC).
• Final selection based on merit-cum-preference after document verification.
