DSSSB notifications print pay in the old format, for example “₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,000”. That doesn’t tell you what you will actually be paid. This page converts each post in the two open DSSSB court recruitments (Advt 04/2026 and Advt 05/2026) into its 7th CPC pay level, then works out the monthly salary for a Delhi posting: basic pay, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance and the NPS deduction.
DSSSB posts and their 7th CPC pay level

How each figure is calculated
- Basic pay: The first cell of the pay level in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, for example Level 3 = ₹21,700.
Source: CCS (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016, Gazette of India G.S.R. 721(E), 25 July 2016: Pay Matrix
- Dearness Allowance (DA): 60% of basic pay, effective 1 January 2026.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): 30% of basic pay. Delhi is an X-class city, and HRA rose to 30/20/10% once DA crossed 50%. The minimum for X-class is ₹5,400. HRA is not paid if you live in government quarters.

- Transport Allowance (TA): ₹3,600 a month plus DA on it (₹3,600 + ₹2,160 = ₹5,760) for Levels 3–8. Delhi is on the list of cities with the higher TA rate. For Levels 1–2 the rate is ₹1,350 plus DA, rising to ₹3,600 plus DA once basic pay reaches ₹24,200. TA is not paid to anyone given government transport.

What this page does not include
- Income tax: This depends on your tax regime, investments and declarations, so we have not estimated it.
- Insurance and health scheme deductions: Group insurance and medical scheme deductions for Delhi Government staff are small, fixed amounts. We have not found an official 2026 rate table for these court posts, so we leave them out rather than guess.
- 8th Pay Commission: The 8th Central Pay Commission (official website) has been set up, but no new pay matrix has been notified. These figures use the 7th CPC matrix that applies today, and we will update them when official orders come out.
- DSSSB MTS and other posts: DSSSB fills many other posts, including Multi Tasking Staff for Delhi Government departments. Take the pay level or grade pay printed in that post’s advertisement and pick it in the calculator above.

DSSSB Salary: FAQ
What is the in-hand salary of a DSSSB Chowkidar or Sweeper?
Both posts in DSSSB Advt 05/2026 carry Grade Pay ₹2,000, which is Level 3 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. In Delhi the starting monthly pay works out to basic ₹21,700 + DA ₹13,020 + HRA ₹6,510 + Transport Allowance ₹5,760 = ₹46,990 gross. After the 10% NPS deduction (₹3,472) that is about ₹43,518 a month, before income tax and other small deductions.
What is the pay level of DSSSB Peon, Process Server and JJA?
DSSSB Advt 04/2026 prints the pay levels itself: Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon Level 3, Process Server Level 4, Junior Judicial Assistant Level 5, Personal Assistant Level 7 and Senior Personal Assistant Level 8.
Which DA rate is used on this page?
60% of basic pay, the central rate from 1 January 2026 under the Department of Expenditure OM dated 22 April 2026. Delhi Government applies DA through its own Finance Department orders, so check your office's order if your pay slip shows a different rate.
Why is HRA 30% for DSSSB posts?
These posts are in Delhi, which is an X-class city. Under the Department of Expenditure OM of 7 July 2017, HRA became 30% of basic pay for X-class cities once DA crossed 50%. HRA is not paid if you live in government quarters.
How much will a Level 3 DSSSB employee get after 5 years?
With five annual increments and no promotion, basic pay moves from ₹21,700 to ₹25,200 (cell 6 of Level 3). At today's DA of 60% that is about ₹49,608 in hand after NPS. The real figure will be higher if DA rises or a pay commission revises pay.
Will the 8th Pay Commission change DSSSB salary?
Yes, once it is implemented. The 8th Central Pay Commission has been set up but no new pay matrix has been notified yet, so this page uses the 7th CPC matrix that is in force. We will update the tables when official orders are issued.
