Eligibility
- UPSSSC PET-2025: Must have appeared in PET-2025 and hold its score card. Shortlisting for Mains is on normalised PET-2025 score; zero/negative PET score is not shortlisted.
- JE / Technical Assistant (Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, UP, or equivalent.
- Instructor Machine: Intermediate + 3-year Diploma in Mechanical maintenance from a recognised institution.
- UPSRTC Assistant Storekeeper: Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering from a recognised polytechnic.
- UPSRTC Mechanic: 3-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical (Automobile) Engineering; heavy-vehicle driving licence gets preference.
- Post-wise qualifications for ADPRO (Technical) and other posts are listed in para 6 of the advertisement.
Age Limit
18–40 years for most posts; 21–40 years for Technical Assistant (Mechanical). Age is reckoned on the date fixed by each post's service rules (para 7 of the advertisement). Upper age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other notified categories as per UP Government rules; UPSRTC in-service candidates get 5 extra years.

JE (Mechanical) and allied technical posts: Level-6, ₹35,400–1,12,400 (PWD JE: ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,200). UPSRTC Mechanic: Level-5 and Assistant Storekeeper: Level-4 (₹5,200–20,200 pay band).

Exam Pattern
Main written exam: 100 objective questions, 100 marks, 2 hours. 25% negative marking for each wrong answer. Mechanical engineering subjects (machines & machine design, engineering mechanics, strength of materials, thermodynamics, IC engines, steam power, refrigeration, fluid mechanics, etc.) plus computer knowledge and general awareness of UP (para 9 of the advertisement).
