NALCO Non-Executive Selection Methodology & Exam Pattern 2026

Selection is based on performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT) and, for certain posts, an additional Trade Test.

Computer Based Test (CBT) Structure:
The CBT will comprise 100 Multiple Choice Questions, each carrying 1 mark, to be completed within 120 minutes.

60% Technical/Domain-Specific Questions (based on the relevant trade/discipline)
40% Non-Technical Questions covering Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Knowledge & English
Marking Scheme & Language:
The exam will be conducted bilingually in English and Hindi only. There is NO negative marking for incorrect answers.
CBT + Trade Test Posts:
For posts at Sl. No. 5, 7, 11 and 12 (SUPT-JOT posts), selection is based purely on the CBT score. For all other posts (Sl. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 13), the final selection weightage is 60% CBT + 40% Trade Test.
