Important Instructions for SSC CGL 2025 Recruitment

These instructions are for candidates applying for the SSC CGL 2025 Recruitment (14,582 vacancies). Read carefully before filling the SSC CGL Application Form 2025 at ssc.gov.in to ensure compliance with SSC guidelines.

• The Staff Selection Commission (SSC)’s decision in all matters related to SSC CGL 2025 is final and binding. No personal inquiries will be entertained.
• SSC may analyze Computer-Based Test (CBT) responses for irregularities. Suspected misconduct (e.g., cheating) may lead to cancellation of candidature without notice.
• The selection process includes Tier 1 CBT (qualifying), Tier 2 CBT (merit-based), Document Verification (DV), and Skill Tests (DEST/CPT for specific posts). Final merit is based on Tier 2 normalized scores.
• Providing incorrect information or violating rules at any stage will result in disqualification, including post-appointment termination.
• Candidates claiming reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD) must indicate their category in the SSC CGL Application Form 2025 and provide valid certificates during SSC CGL Document Verification.
• Ensure uploaded photograph (20–50 KB, JPG) and signature (10–20 KB, JPG) meet SSC specifications. Unclear uploads will lead to rejection.
• For SSC CGL Document Verification, provide original documents: Bachelor’s Degree certificate, mark sheets, caste/PwD/ESM certificate, photo ID, NOC (if employed).
• Download and print the SSC CGL Application Form 2025 after submission. No hard copy is required unless requested.
• Reservation benefits require original certificates in Central Government format during DV. Without them, benefits will be denied.
• PwD candidates must submit a disability certificate (minimum 40% disability) during DV.
• Age relaxations as of August 1, 2025: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years, 15 for SC/ST, 13 for OBC), ESM (service + 3 years), Widows/Divorced Women (up to 35 years, 40 for SC/ST).
• OBC candidates need a Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued in FY 2025-26, matching the Central Government list.
• Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India, with preferences considered for posts like Assistant Section Officer or Inspector.
• Submit only one application. Multiple applications will lead to rejection of all, with fee forfeiture.
• Provide an active email and mobile number during OTR. Updates, including admit cards, will be shared via ssc.gov.in.
• Limited corrections to the SSC CGL Application Form 2025 are allowed during July 9–11, 2025, with a fee. Critical fields (e.g., name, category) cannot be changed.
• Incomplete applications or misrepresentation will lead to rejection at any stage, including post-appointment.

• SSC may modify vacancies (14,582 tentative) or the recruitment process without prior notice.

• No travelling allowance (TA) is paid for attending CBT, skill tests, or DV, except for specific categories per SSC rules.
• For posts requiring DEST (e.g., Tax Assistant: 2,000 key depressions in 15 minutes), the test medium (English/Hindi) cannot be changed later.
• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree by August 1, 2025, and provide originals during DV.
• Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years, extendable at SSC’s discretion, with confirmation per government rules.
