Selection Procedure for Various Posts in MPPKVVCL
Selection Process Overview
The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT). The CBT will consist of multiple-choice questions, with a total of 100 marks. Each question will carry 1 mark.
Computer Based Test (CBT)
A separate syllabus for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be provided. The minimum cutoff marks for the CBT will be 25%.
If there are multiple positions available in different companies, candidates must indicate their preferred company in the online application. Based on merit and availability of positions, candidates will be assigned to the respective companies.
For reserved positions for disabled candidates, a separate selection process will be followed. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications and disability certificates, will be selected based on merit in the CBT. In case of a tie in marks, priority will be determined as follows:
- The candidate with the older age will be given priority.
- If the candidates have the same age, the one with higher marks in class 10th will be given priority.
Disabled candidates are encouraged to participate in the normal selection process along with other candidates.
Additional Criteria for Specific Posts
For the position of Line Inspector (Distribution), candidates who have worked as Meter Readers under contract in any Madhya Pradesh Electricity Distribution Companies for at least 3 years will receive additional marks (up to 10%) based on their performance. However, those whose contract was terminated due to unsatisfactory performance will not be eligible.
Physical Efficiency Test in MPPKVVCL
For the following positions, candidates will need to qualify a physical efficiency test:
- Line Inspector (Distribution)
- Security Sub Inspector
- Security Soldier
Physical Efficiency Test for Line Inspector (Distribution)
The following physical efficiency tests will be conducted:
- Climb a 15 kg load using a ladder in 2 minutes.
- Walk 1 kilometer in 10 minutes while carrying a tool bag and rope.
Physical Standards for Security Sub Inspector and Security Soldier
The following physical standards apply for Security Sub Inspector and Security Soldier positions:
- Height:
- Male: Minimum 167.5 cm
- Female: Minimum 152.4 cm
- Chest:
- Male: Minimum 81 cm (normal), 86 cm (expanded)
- Female: No chest measurement requirement
- Other requirements:
- No knock-knees or flat feet.
- Must not stammer.
- Good eyesight (6/6 without glasses), able to distinguish colors.
- Proportionate physical build according to age and height.
Physical Efficiency Test for Security Sub Inspector and Security Soldier
For the physical efficiency test, candidates must complete an 800-meter run within the following time limits:
- Male: 3 minutes
- Female: 3 minutes 30 seconds
- Ex-servicemen: 3 minutes 30 seconds
Merit List and Tie-Breaking Criteria
The merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks from the Computer Based Test (CBT) and the physical efficiency test (if applicable). The merit list will be valid for one year from its announcement. However, the selection process may be canceled before that date if an order is issued.
In Case of Tie in Marks:
If two or more candidates have the same marks, priority will be given as follows:
- Candidate with older age will be given priority.
- If birth dates are the same, the candidate with higher marks in the qualifying examination will be prioritized.
- If candidates have the same qualifications, priority will be given to the candidate with higher marks in class 10th.
GENERAL GUIDELINES for MPPKVVCL
- Candidates should be of Indian nationality.
- The cut-off date for submitting the application in MPPKVVCL will be the final date for calculating eligibility regarding the regular service/appointed employees. The candidate should provide the certificate of eligibility issued by the supervising engineer/ general manager or an officer of a higher rank, which will be available with the application.
- Eligibility criteria in MPPKVVCL, qualifications, and age should be fulfilled by candidates working in government/semi-government/public sector organizations/Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board's subsidiary companies. A certificate of employment issued by the employer should be provided, specifying that the candidate is not involved in any disciplinary action or suspended, as mentioned in the certificate.
- Candidates whose third child was born on or after 26.01.2001 will not be eligible to participate in the selection process. However, those who have more children after the first one will be eligible.
- Candidates from the backward category (creamy layer) must provide a certificate of the relevant financial criteria (issued by the tehsildar or higher authority).
- The benefits of EWS (Economically Weaker Section) reservation will be applicable as per the government notifications: M.P. Government, Sa. Pra. Ni. letter No. F-07-11/2019/A.P./Ek dated 02.07.2019, F-07-11/2019/A.P./Ek dated 18.07.2019, and F-07-11/2019/A.P./Ek dated 22.11.2019. Candidates must submit an income and asset certificate issued by the competent authority (Tehsildar) to avail of the EWS reservation.
- Candidates from Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) must provide caste certificates issued by the competent authority in Madhya Pradesh. Certificates for central government service will not be accepted. Divyang candidates must provide the disability certificate issued by the competent authority/ district medical board.
- Candidates who have already served before the prescribed maximum age limit for the designated posts will not be eligible to apply as per the M.P. Government's notification (G.O. No. 10.03.2000).
- M.P. Government, General Administration Department's order No. 3-17-96-3-II, Bhopal dated 25.10.1996 will be applicable.
- In MPPKVVCL recruitment If it is found during the selection or at any stage that the marksheets or other documents submitted by the candidate are fabricated/fake/false or the selection was made on false information, the candidate will be immediately disqualified and legal action will be taken.
- Before joining in MPPKVVCL, the selected candidate must submit the medical certificate issued by the district medical board.
- Candidates who have been dismissed from any government/semi-government/public sector organization/M.P. State Electricity Board's subsidiary companies will not be eligible to apply.
- The MPPKVVCL reserves the right to change/modify these conditions at any time.
- If any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or incorrect, the employment contract will be nullified from the beginning, and the candidate will be held responsible for any legal consequences.
- Any misconduct or act considered inappropriate for government service will be liable for action as per the rules.
- M.P. Government, Sa. Pra. Ni. letter No. C3-13/2019/3/1 dated 12.12.2019 regarding the eligibility of candidates for posts in subsidiaries will be followed as per the notifications, which specify the educational criteria and percentage requirements for candidates.
- Service Bond Agreement in MPPKVVCL:
- The selected candidate must submit a bond on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 500/- after successful completion of the probation period for the service as per the prescribed format.
- In case of resignation or termination during the probation period, the candidate will be required to pay a bond amount as outlined in clause 15.
- If the candidate joins a higher position in any subsidiary company of M.P. State Electricity Board, they will be exempt from submitting the service bond. However, the remaining candidates must submit the bond to the concerned company.
- Termination in MPPKVVCL:
- The company reserves the right to terminate the service with one month's notice or one month's salary in lieu of notice for any valid reason as per the rules.
- Probation Period in MPPKVVCL:
- During the probation period, the candidate will be eligible for leave, medical benefits, and other allowances as per the rules. If the medical leave exceeds 3 days, a medical certificate will be required. The company may extend the probation period based on performance.
- Service and Training in MPPKVVCL:
- During probation, the candidate will not be posted to a regular position. After completion of training, the candidate must submit a report as per the prescribed format for final evaluation.
- Training Period in MPPKVVCL:
- The training period, unless specified, will be counted toward the total service and will be included in the increment calculation.
