These instructions are for candidates applying for the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Recruitment 2025 (Advertisement No. 37/2025) at Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Read them carefully before filling the BPSC ASO Online Application 2025.

• The decision of BPSC in all recruitment matters is final and binding. No correspondence or personal inquiries will be entertained.
• BPSC reserves the right to analyze examination responses for irregularities. If responses suggest misconduct, your candidature may be cancelled without notice.
• The recruitment process includes a Preliminary Exam (objective-type questions on General Studies, Economics, Statistics), a Mains Exam (subjective questions on General Studies, Statistics, Economics, General Knowledge, and Hindi as a qualifying paper), and Document Verification. An interview may be included. Final selection is based on prelims and mains performance.
• Providing incorrect information or violating rules at any stage will lead to disqualification. If detected post-appointment, your service may be terminated without notice.
• Candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/BC/EBC/PwD) opting for benefits must indicate this in the BPSC ASO Online Application 2025 and provide valid certificates in the prescribed format during document verification.
• Ensure uploaded photograph and signature meet BPSC specifications. Unclear or mismatched uploads will result in rejection.
• Upload documents as a single PDF, including Birth Certificate (if not in degree certificate), Degree Marksheet & Certificate, Caste/PwD Certificate, and NOC (if applicable). Review and re-upload before final submission if needed.
• After submitting the BPSC ASO Online Application 2025, download and print the form for future reference. No hard copy submission is required unless requested by BPSC.
• Candidates claiming reservation benefits must present original certificates (e.g., SC/ST/BC/EBC/PwD) in the prescribed format during document verification.
• PwD candidates must submit a valid disability certificate (minimum 40% disability) issued by a competent authority during document verification.
• Age relaxations apply: Unreserved Female/BC/EBC (up to 40 years), SC/ST (up to 42 years), Contractual employees (equivalent to service period), additional relaxations as per Bihar government norms. Relaxations are applicable only for reserved posts.
• EBC/BC candidates must provide a certificate with a Non-Creamy Layer clause, issued in FY 2025-26, matching the Bihar government list. Creamy layer EBC/BC candidates must apply as Unreserved.
• Selected candidates will primarily be posted at the Bihar Secretariat or other Bihar government offices, based on organizational needs.
• Submit only one application. Multiple applications will lead to rejection of all, with forfeiture of fees for additional registrations.
• Provide an active email address and mobile number. All updates, including call letters, will be communicated via the BPSC website (bpsc.bihar.gov.in). No changes to contact details are allowed post-submission.
• Applications with errors can be canceled and resubmitted, but fees for canceled applications are non-refundable.
• Applications with incomplete details, missing documents, or misrepresentation will be rejected at any stage, including post-appointment.
• For technical issues while applying online, refer to the BPSC website (bpsc.bihar.gov.in). No personal inquiries will be addressed.
• BPSC may cancel, modify, or amend the number of vacancies or recruitment process at any time without prior notice or assigning reasons.
• Applicants in government or public sector employment must submit a No Objection Certificate at document verification and be relieved within one month of the appointment offer.
• Canvassing in any form, including unfair means or impersonation, will result in disqualification or termination if detected post-appointment.
• No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, or Document Verification.
• Candidates must ensure their Bachelor’s degree results are declared by June 23, 2025, and provide original certificates during verification.
• Selected candidates will be on probation as per Bihar government rules, which may be extended or curtailed at BPSC’s discretion. Confirmation follows successful probation.
