Important Instructions for Junior Clerk Recruitment 2025

These instructions are for candidates applying for the Junior Clerk Recruitment 2025 (Advertisement No.-07/2024-2025) at Banaras Hindu University. Read them carefully before filling the online application form 2025.

• The decision of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in all recruitment matters is final and binding. No correspondence or personal inquiries will be entertained.
• The University reserves the right to analyze responses for irregularities. If responses suggest misconduct or shared answers, your candidature may be cancelled.
• The recruitment process includes a Written Test followed by a Computer Proficiency Test and Skill Test (typing speed: 30 wpm English or 25 wpm Hindi). Only shortlisted candidates proceed to subsequent stages.
• Final selection is based on performance in the Written Exam, Computer Proficiency Test, and Skill Test. Weightage of 4% marks per year of service (max 20%) applies to eligible BHU daily wage/contractual employees.
• Providing incorrect information or violating rules at any stage will lead to disqualification. If detected post-appointment, your service may be terminated.
• Candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) opting for benefits must indicate this in the application form and provide supporting documents during verification.
• Ensure your uploaded photograph and signature (JPEG, max 50 KB each) are clear. Unclear uploads may result in rejection.
• You can review and re-upload your photograph and signature before final submission if needed.
• After submitting the online application, download and print the form. Send the hard copy with enclosures to the Office of the Registrar (Recruitment and Assessment Cell), BHU, Varanasi – 221005 by April 22, 2025.
• Candidates claiming reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-servicemen) must present original certificates in the prescribed format during document verification.
• EWS candidates must submit a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority to avail reservation benefits.
• Age relaxations apply: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (as per GoI rules), Ex-servicemen (as per GoI rules), and no age bar for permanent BHU employees.
• OBC candidates must provide a certificate with a Non-Creamy Layer clause, issued within one year prior to April 17, 2025, matching the Central Government list.
• OBC candidates in the creamy layer or not on the Central List must apply as General.
• Selected candidates will be posted at BHU, Varanasi. Apply only if willing to serve at this location.
• Submit only one application. Multiple applications will lead to rejection of all.
• Provide an active email address and mobile number. All updates will be communicated via email or SMS.
• No changes to the application form are allowed after final submission.
• Applications with incomplete details, missing documents, or misrepresentation will be rejected at any stage.
• For technical issues while applying online, email recruitment@bhu.ac.in. No other personal inquiries will be addressed.
• The University may withdraw advertised posts or modify the number of vacancies at any time without prior notice.
• Applicants in employment must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of the skill test or document verification.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
