Eligibility Criteria – NORCET-10 Nursing Officer 2026

Option A: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from INC/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University + Registered as Nurse & Midwife. Option B: Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from INC/State Nursing Council + Registered as Nurse & Midwife + 2 years experience in minimum 50-bedded hospital (post-qualification). |
| Experience (for GNM) | 2 years in min. 50-bedded hospital after passing GNM (residency period not counted). |
| Age (closing date) | 18–30 years (relaxations: SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwBD +10, Ex-Servicemen + service length +3 yrs, etc.). |

Exam Pattern – NORCET-10 2026
• 100 MCQs – 100 marks – 90 minutes
• 20 GK & Aptitude + 80 Nursing subjects
• Negative marking: 1/3 per wrong answer
• Sectional timing (5 sections × 18 min each)
• Qualifying percentile: UR/EWS 50%, OBC 45%, SC/ST 40%, PwBD +5% relaxation
• 160 MCQs – 160 marks – 180 minutes
• Nursing subjects (case scenario-based)
• Negative marking: 1/3 per wrong answer
• 4 sections × 45 min each (sequential)
• Qualifying %: UR/EWS 50%, OBC 45%, SC/ST 40%, PwBD +5% relaxation
Normalization if multi-shift. Merit based on Mains only. Tie resolved by DOB → fewer wrong answers.
