    EXAMINATION SCHEME & SYLLABUS

    Stage 1: One Tier Examination (Tier-I)

    Section – II: MCQs pertaining to Post-Graduation qualification and teaching methodology required for the post.

    Notes:

    • The questions in the examination will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which will be in the language concerned only.
    • DSSSB reserves the right to change/amend the examination scheme if required at any time before the examination.
    • The minimum qualifying marks for the written examination (objective / MCQ) are specified below.
    • For applicants of technical/teaching post codes, the mandatory minimum qualifying marks apply only to Section-II (domain subject specific). There are no minimum qualifying marks in Section-I. However, the combined aggregate of both sections will be used for preparing the final merit list where applicable.
    • There is no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of Answer Sheets/Answer Scripts. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.
    • DSSSB reserves the right to cancel/withdraw/delete any question(s) from the Question Paper, with marks prorated out of the maximum marks.
    • Negative marking applies, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong MCQ answer.

    Normalization of Marks: Marks will be normalized (if required) using the formula published by DSSSB in Notice No. 10 (271)/Sec.Cell/DSSSB/18/989 dated 11.07.2018 for final merit and selection.

    Handling of Invalid Questions: If any question is deemed invalid, it will not be evaluated, and marks will be calculated on a prorated basis.

    Draft Answer Keys: Draft Answer Keys will be displayed on the DSSSB website post-examination. Candidates can submit online objections within the stipulated time. Only online objections will be considered; other modes like letters or emails will not be entertained.

    Minimum Qualifying Marks:

    • General/EWS: 40%
    • OBC (Delhi): 35%
    • SC/ST/PH (PwBD): 30%
    • Ex-servicemen will receive a 5% relaxation in their respective categories, subject to a minimum of 30%.

    Note: DSSSB may set a minimum cut-off mark for any post based on candidate availability. Cut-off marks for selection may increase based on candidate performance and vacancy numbers.


    GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES

    • 1. The Board selects candidates based on vacancies reported by the user department. The number of vacancies can vary, and the Board is not liable for any reduction or increase in advertised positions.
    • 2. Reservation policy implementation, including earmarking vacancies and identifying suitability for various disabilities, is managed by the user departments. The Board will adhere to the RPwD Act, 2016, as per Notification No. 38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04.01.2021 for disability suitability.
    • 3. The DSSSB reserves the right to cancel or modify this advertisement or parts of it at any stage.
    • 4. Examination centers will be located in Delhi/NCR only.
    • 5. The Board can cancel, alter, or reschedule the examination process or change examination centers due to administrative reasons, cheating, or other irregularities. No requests for changes in exam date, time, or center will be entertained.
    • 6. In cases of inadvertent errors in the advertisement, the final result will be based on Recruitment Rules, DoPT guidelines, Examination Schemes on the Board's website, and current GNCTD and GOI guidelines.
    • 7. The Board may amend the examination scheme before the exam if necessary.
    • 8. Candidate participation in the examination is provisional and subject to legal proceedings or court decisions; mere issuance of an Admit Card does not guarantee selection for the post.
    • 9. Abbreviations used include:
      EWS-Economically Weaker Sections, Ex-SM-Ex-Servicemen, UR-Unreserved (General), SC-Scheduled Caste, ST-Scheduled Tribe, OBC-Other Backward Classes, PwBD-Person with Benchmark Disability, OH-Orthopedically Handicapped, VH-Visually Handicapped, HH-Hard of Hearing, MSP-Meritorious Sports Person.
    • 10. Use of calculators, laptops, mobile phones, or any electronic devices is prohibited in the exam center. No arrangements for storage or security of such items are provided.
    • 11. Possession of any gadget or prohibited item will result in debarment from the examination and may lead to legal action.
    • 12. Candidates must adhere to the following dress code for the DSSSB exam:
      • Light clothes with half sleeves, no big buttons, brooches/badges, or flowers, paired with Salwar/Trouser.
      • Slippers or sandals with low heels; shoes are not allowed.
    • 13. In case of discrepancies between the English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi versions of the advertisement, the English version is considered final.
