The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
- PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test
- OMR Based / CBT Mode Written Examination (Bilingual: Hindi & English)

Detailed Recruitment Process
The recruitment process for Constable/Tradesman posts is outlined below:
- Height Bar Test (HBT) / PET / PST / Documentation and Trade Test:
- Height Bar Test (HBT): Candidates with provisionally accepted applications are assigned a Roll Number and called for the first stage, which includes PET/PST, Documentation, and Trade Test at various centers. Candidates undergo the Height Bar Test (HBT).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who pass the HBT will proceed to the PET. Requirements are:
Category Test Requirement Male Candidates 1.6 Kms Race 6 minutes 30 seconds Female Candidates 800 Meters Race 4 minutes Note: Candidates who fail the race will be eliminated with a rejection slip and cannot proceed further. There is no appeal for PET (race/run).
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates qualifying HBT and PET will be screened for height, chest, and weight. Standards are:

Candidates qualifying PET/PST/Documentation & Trade Test will proceed to the Written Examination in OMR/Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
- Format: Objective-type question paper (100 marks, 2 hours duration) with 100 questions on:

- Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics
- Analytical Aptitude
- Ability to observe and distinguish patterns

The questions will be bilingual (English/Hindi) with no negative marking.

How to Apply for CISF Constable Tradesman Online form 2025
This guide is for people new to computers. Follow these steps carefully to apply online for the Constable/Tradesman post on the CISF website. The process has two main parts:
- One-Time Registration: Create your account (only once).
- Filling the Application: Submit your details for this exam.
Part 1: One-Time Registration (Make Your Account)
This creates a permanent account for you to use for all CISF exams. You’ll get a Registration ID and Password to keep.

- Your Email ID (it must work)
- Your 10th Class Certificate (for your name, parents’ names, and date of birth)
Steps to Register:
- Go to the CISF website: https://cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in. Use a computer or phone with internet.
- On the first page (home page), find and click the “Login” button.
- A new page opens. Click the “New Registration” button.
- You’ll see a form. Fill in these details:
What to Fill How to Fill It Name Write your name exactly as on your 10th Certificate. If you changed your name later, add that too. Father’s Name Write your father’s name exactly as on your 10th Certificate. Mother’s Name Write your mother’s name exactly as on your 10th Certificate. Date of Birth Write your birth date exactly as on your 10th Certificate. Gender Choose if you are Male or Female. Mobile Number Enter your working mobile number. You’ll get messages here. Email ID Enter your working email. You’ll get messages here too. - Check all details twice. You’ll enter them again to confirm. If they don’t match, the form won’t work.
- Click “Submit”. A new page will show your details.
- Read the “Declaration” (a promise that your details are true). If you agree, click “Submit” again.
- Your Registration ID and Password will come to your email and mobile. Save them safely!
- Log in with your Registration ID (as username) and Password to continue.
Warning: Your name, parents’ names, and date of birth must match your 10th Certificate exactly, or your application can be canceled.
Part 2: Filling the Online Application
After registration, use your ID and Password to apply for the Constable/Tradesman-2024 exam.
Things to Have Ready:
- A recent photo (taken within 3 months, 20-50 KB, 3.5cm x 4.5cm, no cap or glasses, date printed on it).
- Your signature (scanned, 10-20 KB, 4.0cm x 2.0cm, clear and readable).
- Scanned copies of your 10th Certificate, other education certificates, and Domicile Certificate (PDF, under 1 MB).
Steps to Apply:
- Go to https://cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in and click “Apply Part”.
- Log in with your Registration ID, Password, and type the Captcha (code you see). Click “Submit”.
- A new page opens. Click the “CONSTABLE/TRADESMAN-2024” button.
- A form appears. Some details (like name) are already filled from registration. Fill the empty parts carefully.
- Check everything. Use “Save & Preview” to see your form. Use “Close” to edit more (it won’t save yet).
- When ready, read the Declaration and click “Submit” to save your form.
- Upload your Photo (date must be on it, or it’s rejected).
- Upload your Signature (must be clear, or it’s rejected).
- Upload your 10th Certificate, education, and Domicile Certificate.
- Click “Payment”. If you don’t pay a fee (exempted), you’ll see “Fee Exemption” and can print your form.
- If you pay, use UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit/Rupay Cards, or SBI Challan:
- For challan, get the form, go to an SBI branch, pay cash, and wait 48 hours for it to update.
- After payment, print your form. Keep it safe. You’ll need it later with your documents.
