UPPSC AE Notification 2024: Selection Process
Selection Process:
The selection process is conducted in three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (300 Marks)
- Main Examination (750 Marks)
- Personal Interview (100 Marks)

► The preliminary examination will be qualifying in nature only in which 15 times the number of candidates per post as per the standard set by the Commission will be shortlisted to appear in the second stage (Main Examination).

General Knowledge: The General Knowledge paper will cover current events and such things as are in everyday experience and may be expected of an educated person, taking their scientific aspects into consideration. The paper will also include questions on Indian History, Politics and Geography which the candidates will be able to answer without any special study.
General Hindi: The syllabus for Hindi will be designed in such a way as to test the candidate's understanding of the Hindi language and efficient use of words. The level of the paper will be that of High School.
Main Examination Syllabus
General Studies: The General Studies paper will include information on current events and such things as are in everyday experience and which may be expected of an educated person, keeping in view their scientific aspects. The question paper will also include questions on Indian history, politics and geography which the candidate will be able to answer without making any special study.
General Hindi: The syllabus of Hindi will be designed to test the candidate's understanding of the Hindi language and efficient use of words. Its level will be that of high school.
General Instructions for UPPSC AE 2024
- There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
- If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answer happens to be correct and there will be the same penalty as above for that question.
- If a question is left blank i.e., no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
