IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) Exam 2025: Apply Online

The IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) Exam 2025 is a recruitment drive by the Intelligence Bureau (MHA) to fill Security Assistant (Motor Transport) vacancies across various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux (SIBs) in India. To be eligible for IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) 2025:

• Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education.
• Driving License: Valid driving license for motor cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority.
• Motor Mechanism Knowledge: Ability to remove minor defects in vehicles.
• Experience: One year’s experience of driving a motor car after the date of issue of the driving license.
• Domicile: Must possess a domicile certificate of the state against which the candidate applies.
• Age Limit: 18–27 years as on September 28, 2025. Relaxations:

• Note: The post is not suitable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs).

The application fee for IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) 2025 is:

• All Candidates: Recruitment Processing Charges: ₹550/-
• Male UR/OBC/EWS: Additional Examination Fee: ₹100/- (Total: ₹650/-)
• Female/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen (Eligible for Reservation): Exempted from Examination Fee (pay only ₹550/- Processing Charges)

Payment can be made via SBI EPAY LITE (Net Banking, UPI, Debit/Credit Card) or SBI challan (by September 30, 2025).

The IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) Selection Process includes:

• Tier-I (Online Exam): 100 marks, 1 hour, objective MCQs with negative marking (¼ mark per wrong answer). Subjects: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability & Reasoning, English Language, General Studies. Cut-off: UR/EWS – 30, OBC – 28, SC/ST – 25.
• Tier-II (Written Exam): 50 marks, 1 hour, translation of a passage and/or other descriptive questions. Qualifying marks: 40% (20/50).
• Tier-III (Interview): 50 marks, personality test.
• Final selection based on combined Tier-I and Tier-II performance, followed by Character & Antecedent verification and medical examination.

To apply for IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) Exam 2025:

• Visit mha.gov.in or ncs.gov.in.
• Register with a valid email ID and mobile number to receive the Application Sequence Number (ASN).
• Log in using ASN and fill in personal, educational, and contact details.
• Upload a recent passport-size color photograph (50-100KB, jpg/jpeg, not older than 12 weeks) and signature (50-100KB, jpg/jpeg).
• Pay the required fee (₹550 or ₹650) via SBI EPAY LITE or SBI challan (by September 30, 2025).

Candidates should keep the following documents ready for the online application:

• Valid email ID and mobile number.
• Scanned recent passport-size color photograph (50-100KB, jpg/jpeg, not older than 12 weeks).
• Scanned signature (50-100KB, jpg/jpeg).
• Valid photo ID proof issued by Central/State Govt. (e.g., Aadhar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card).
• Class X (Matriculation) certificate/marksheet.
• Valid driving license for motor cars (LMV).
• Domicile certificate of the applied state/SIB.
• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen), if applicable, in the prescribed format.

Note: Original documents must be produced during document verification after qualifying Tier-I and Tier-II.

No, the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) selected during the application cannot be changed under any circumstances. For the Tier-I examination, candidates choose five preferred centers, but IB reserves the right to allot any of these or a nearby center based on administrative feasibility. Ensure careful selection during the application process.

Submitting multiple applications may lead to the cancellation of all applications. Candidates are advised to submit only one application and verify all details (e.g., email ID, photograph, signature) before final submission. The application cannot be edited after submission.

The exact date for the Tier-I exam will be communicated through the admit card, sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. The exam center will be one of the five cities chosen by the candidate or a nearby center, as decided by IB.
